Keynote Speaker: Ruth McCambridge, President and editor in chief, Nonprofit Quarterly
Location: Best Place in the Pabst complex
The Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee, University of Wisconsin Parkside, University Wisconsin Milwaukee, IFF and the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network are coming together to bring you Breaking Molds and Cracking Ceilings: Understanding and Disrupting Leadership for a Stronger Nonprofit Sector.
This Leadership Summit will celebrate new ideas in leadership that are already making a difference in our sector, and help uncover new ideas that will change our lens on how leadership should work. Existing good ideas will be awarded in community leaders, organizational leadership, philanthropic leadership, and catalytic leadership. Winning existing ideas will share how they have been successful. The majority of the day will be spent on exploring new ideas in a fresh and interactive format. Attendees will have a chance to talk with the presenters and will end the day by voting on the ideas they think are the most likely to have a real impact. The most popular new ideas will get resources from the Nonprofit Center and other supporters over the coming year to help move that idea towards implementation.
Request for Proposals: Be a Disrupter!
Deadline: Monday, August 15
Have you had an idea about the type of leadership that the nonprofit sector needs? Is that idea fresh, exciting, and disruptive? Submit your idea to be considered for an award to be presented at the end of the Nonprofit Excellence conference!
If your idea is selected, you'll present your new idea in an open, interactive forum where you'll be challenged, supported and encouraged! And you'll receive assistance (financially and coaching) from the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee to make your idea a reality.
